i like it very true of how a pilot form an old WWII fighter is depicted. most of them all smoked, and the look on the face, is perfect for a guy in WWII.my only problem with the pic is the background, to, how to put it, just not right, perhaps a little action behind him to bring the pice alive more. still a very well done pic for the concept of it.

Just when I had seen it all, there it was. The crash of my life, the flash in front my eyes showing all my past. I had been shot down, and there was no way in hell I was going to survive. But I did, anyhow. And for that, I lighted a cigar. I was going to enjoy this fag until to the very end, as much as I could.

"Now I've seen it all," I said. "Shot down by a missile, eh. Well I'll be damn."

I was going to quit work, finally. But not before this cigar ran out.

I adore this piece of work, your artwork in general make me want to write about the stories that happened during that time, in that world. They are truly fascinating, and so is this.

I'd have written more but it might have been a bit of an overkill really. Don't wonder if someday I write a story based on your world. Your futuristic and prevalently mechanical view of the world to me is like what the cyberpunk equivalent of Tokyo was for William Gibson, very inspiring (then again, he did kind of create all that stuff himself, if I recall correctly, well despite that-). It's just that good, believe me.
