Here's a demo I did in a recent class I instructed on concept design. By combining matte painting and photo editing techniques, you can quickly achieve something like this.
I'm not saying it's easy friends, BUT it does get easier over time with practice!;)

original photo here:[link]

I'm considering doing another demo like this on ustream.com.
Follow me there, as well as twitter so you know when it's happening.

This is a bit strange but I think your original photo has been taken in France, maybe in Chateaudun (Eure-et-Loire), is it?

Awesome.

But is this technique will effect our creativity. I mean painting over a photo lacks creativity just makes unsatisfied with the finished work.

thanks...many concept artists these days use photography to enhance their work.
But if you're doing matte painting , you HAVE to paint over photos;)

I am having trouble with maintaining the sharpness. Most of my works looks blurry.I don't have a wacom tablet .I have a low quality tablet Iball company.

Is it tablet is the problem for jaggy or blurry edges or my method of painting.

I strongly recommend a tablet, much easier to work on art that way....try getting a used Bamboo, maybe $50??
And you want to use somewhat hi res photography to avoid the blur:)
