you gotta turn down the flow in photoshop(5-10%), with 100% opacity....it builds the tone up very soft like this...try it out!:)

Wow! That's a drastic contrast. I have experimented with the flow/ opacity relationship a bit but never that extreme. Awesome. I love how experimental your approach to concept art is. I have really been trying to loosen up and 'let things happen' more since your workshop in c-bus. Thanks for the tip!
